Profile

James Paterson

James Paterson is Australia's most experienced competitor at the 1998 Nagano Winter Paralympic Games.   The 28-year-old made his Paralympic debut in the 1994 Lillehammer Games when he won a silver and bronze medal in the Downhill and Giant Slalom respectively.   Paerson is touted as a strong medal contender at the 1998 Nagano Winter Paralympic Games after a strong showing at the recent World Cup event in Colorado.

Paterson won gold in the Giant Slalom and the Slalom as well as silver in the Super G and Downhill events.   Those results have placed him number one in the world in all four disciplines in his class.  That followed silver medals in the Downhill and Giant Slalom as well as bronze in the Slalom at the World Championships in Austria in 1996.
